Publication Announcement

Regular readers of my blog know about the story that I have been posting here over the past few months. It follows the investigation of a cat serial killer and the team of investigators who investigated the crimes and brought the killer in. that story concluded last month. I am announcing today that the entire story is now available as an eBook at Smashwords.com. I am charging a modest price of $1.99 per eBook. I am charging this amount because after Smashwords, and other retailers, take their cut of the price, I will donate the remainder, my royalties to the Michigan Humane Society. That means for every book sold through Smashwords.com, animals in shelters around Michigan will get about $1.44. I think they need it. so help me help Michigan animals and buy a copy of the eBook. I will have a link on the page for any further donations you may feel you want to make. You can access the book through the link to the right.

By now, you all know that I have published my science fiction novel, The Accidental Colony about stranded scientists having to learn how to hunt for their food. Well, I’ve gone a little bit further and set it up as a Print on Demand book. A Print on Demand book is one that you order through Amazon and your copy will be printed at that time and shipped to you.

FCIS: The Tricolor Killer will not be available in the same format. This is because it is only a novella, and I would have to charge more money for a 100 page book than I feel comfortable charging. So it will remain an eBook for $1.99. Next year, I will bring out a book version of the Feline Freedom League as an eBook on its own, but I think I could bundle both works together for a print format. There will be a print version of FCIS: The Tricolor Killer, but not until next year. My royalties for the print edition of FCIS: The Tricolor Killer will also go to the Michigan Humane Society.

Now the price for The Accidental Colony is going to be a bit higher because of printing and shipping costs. However, the copy you order will be an actual book that you can hold in your hands, resell, or lend at will.  Both books will be available through the Smashwords websites. The Accidental Colony, is available now and FCIS: The Tricolor Killer will be available soon.

I hope you enjoy the FCIS book and the good feeling you will get for helping animals at the same time.

About

I am not one who is comfortable talking about myself but here goes. I enjoy writing, family history, and reading. I decided to do this blog because I wanted to try something new. I decided to make it a weekly blog because I wasn't sure that I could keep up with a daily one, and monthly seemed like I was writing a magazine. I think I did ok with my choices. You'll notice that there are not a lot of graphics on my site. That's because there are graphics plastered everywhere on the Internet and those sites sometimes take forever to load. This blog is a place where you can kick back, relax and be ready to be amused. At least I hope I willbamuse you. This blog is on a variety of subjects from my ficitional cat agency, the FFL, which is monthly, to instructional blogs to editorials, which are my opinions only. I admit that I don't know everything and could be wrong -- I frequently am. Now, stop reading about me and read what I have to say!
