This really cannot go on. Agents Smudge and Mulder need some sort of discipline. They argue incessantly when they are together and pout separately when they are not. This is unacceptable behavior in grown toms. They either need to fight openly until one wins out over the other or they need to bury the issue in the litter box, never to air it again.
I only have one other thing to report this time. the humans left the habitat for some time. They took only small items, I said at the time that they were not going to be gone long. They’ve done something like this before, but not all of them at one time. a strange female human came to live in the habitat and feed us. She kept irregular hours and we could not count on her being home the same time every dark time. The younger canine was missing during this time as well. I had hoped he was gone, but sadly, when the regular humans returned, they brought him back.
I have not been able to determine where the humans went, but the canine spent time with many other strange canines. Perhaps they sent him to be schooled in some way. I haven’t seen any evidence of that though. He behaves much as he did before his disappearance.
In any case, the humans were out of our sight for more than three lights and darks. They went somewhere where there were other cats, we could smell them, but they did not smell like any agents we know. It might be useful to find out if they were with any other surveillance teams to determine what they were doing and where they were. I can offer no suggestions on that.
As to my health issues, I believe they are resolving as best as possible. I am no kitten after all and sometimes things take longer in older cats. I am not yet ready to retire, you understand, but I must ask that you take into account my long service time and my exemplary record. Agent Cuddlebug is the only cat in this team that is older and he doesn’t do much either, yet no one faults him for it. I only ask for the same consideration.

Agent Storm is correct in his request for consideration. I agree that elderly cats should be granted some form of consideration, since most of them refuse to retire. That’s neither here nor there, however. I also agree that Agents Smudge and Mulder are acting like belligerent kittens and should face some sort of disciplinary action. They are becoming a divisive force in this team.
The human females mentioned something about a ‘viki’ and a ‘wedding’, which is all I know about where they went for that time. they talked more about the ‘wedding’ which I believe is some sort of mating ritual. Humans are odd. They make rituals about everything. the younger female, for example, has a ritual in which she actually goes into a small room, closes us out and gets wet all over, even the long fur on her head. It boggles the mind.
To get back to the ‘wedding’ thing, I stand by my belief that it was some kind of ritual that humans go through before they can mate. I do not pretend to understand that sort of thing, mating is mating and you do not need a ritual to do it. Still humans are strange animals – strange and dangerous. We must not let our affection for our own to cloud our judgment of them, I know. Still, sometimes it is hard to see the harm in them. Please send the discipline for Agents Mulder and Smudge as soon as possible. the rest of us are tired of their tantrums.
