FFL: October Report

Subject: The Female’s Odd Behavior

She’s begun doing it again. At the beginning of the cold time, the female spends more and more time making words on the information box. It’s hard for us to get time on it; she always seems to be working on it. She refers to something she calls ‘NaNoWriMo’ but we have no idea what that means. She pays less attention to us than normal when she does this. It seems to last forever, but finishes shortly after they put up the unnatural tree and hang things on it. Sometimes, she mentions ‘winning’ it before that time. I have no idea what is going on with her. It must be some sort of ritual that she must perform before the human ‘Time of Celebration’ arrives.

What they celebrate, I cannot tell. It involves the unnatural tree that they do not allow us to go under, much less to climb on it. It is strange that I can’t recall that she has always done this; it seems to have started some cold seasons back. This ‘NaNoWriMo’ must be some sort of cult that she joined, but it seems to be just her and not the male. He behaves as usual, but she spends a lot of time making the words appear on the screen.

She is not ‘surfing the net’ as they often do on these boxes. I have done that myself. I wonder if we can determine what this strange thing is, by ‘surfing the net’. Have any others reported their human doing such a thing?

Subject: The Female’s Odd Behavior

I am not sure that I agree with Agent Trouble that this ‘NaNoWriMo’ could be a cult. According to the information box, a cult is something that humans join and are with all the time, not just every cold time. I searched the information box’s knowledge about this ‘NaNoWriMo’ and discovered a lot of information at a screen called www.nanowrimo.org. It seems to be about doing something called ‘writing a novel’. I do not think it is a cult, but it is something we should investigate further. I do know that she becomes very crabby in intolerant of our presence in her lap, sometimes to her own detriment as happened two cold times ago when Agent Storm and I were having our disagreement. She bled a lot. I admit that I felt bad, because she was an innocent bystander to our disagreement.

As for the celebration that they perform every year, I have learned that while she is making the words on the screen of the box, there is a Festival of Food. They leave early in the afternoon of the Festival of Food and return in the evening accompanied by the most delectable smells. I am sure that they eat a lot, because they moan about it. The day after the Festival of Food is the Festival of the Unnatural Tree and is when they rearrange the furniture to accommodate the unnatural tree. They begin hanging inedible, unnatural things on the tree. I must admit that it is pretty when they are finished.

About

I am not one who is comfortable talking about myself but here goes. I enjoy writing, family history, and reading. I decided to do this blog because I wanted to try something new. I decided to make it a weekly blog because I wasn't sure that I could keep up with a daily one, and monthly seemed like I was writing a magazine. I think I did ok with my choices. You'll notice that there are not a lot of graphics on my site. That's because there are graphics plastered everywhere on the Internet and those sites sometimes take forever to load. This blog is a place where you can kick back, relax and be ready to be amused. At least I hope I willbamuse you. This blog is on a variety of subjects from my ficitional cat agency, the FFL, which is monthly, to instructional blogs to editorials, which are my opinions only. I admit that I don't know everything and could be wrong -- I frequently am. Now, stop reading about me and read what I have to say!
