I have arrived. Everyone here seems friendly. The canines are not that scary, although the one is huge. There are two. The big black one is called Akili. She is hyperactive and a bundle of nerves. She didn’t say what kind of canine she is. The smaller one is called Whiskey. He proudly told me he was a fierce chihuahua. Agent Winnie is bigger than he is, so fierce? I’ll wait and see.
The humans here are barbaric. When Whiskey was injured, the humans took him for interrogation. It must have been awful. They must have pulled his hair out because he has a bald patch near his tail. I am grateful Agent Probie gave me time to get acquainted with everyone here. They have youngsters they are training in the basics so they should do well when they get to the academy.
Agent Probie is a tom cat in his prime. He is the leader here and I am certain he is a good one. Agent Zoe seems a bit excitable, which must cause issues every now and then. I’m puzzled about why she is in charge of the kittens’ training. Agent Winnie is part Maine coon and very calm and laid back. He is almost dull, since he is in the archives the most. That brings me to Agent Sadie. I’ve never met anyone like her before. She can’t seem to walk properly. She intimidated me at first, but she is friendly and eager to do a good job. I think I’ll be happy here.

I’ve arrived at my new posting. As usual, I scared the other agents already here. I honestly wish I could walk as gracefully as other cats do. Instead I flail. Wobbly Cat Syndrome sucks. It colors and overshadows everything in my life. I have accepted that this is the way my life is. I can’t walk normally, although I have tried very hard to control my legs as I walk. I was unsuccessful in training myself to walk like other cats.
Agent Probie took me aside and told me he’d been briefed about my condition before I arrived. He actually apologized for his initial shunning. He said his briefing had told him I couldn’t walk as other cats did, but it hadn’t prepared him for seeing me walk. He assured me that it wouldn’t be long before he and the others will get used to how I walk. I told him I understood and appreciated his words.
He was right though. The other agents have relaxed around me and hardly look at me when I walk. They still come over when I fall, but only to assure themselves I haven’t hurt myself. I’m settled in now and am able to perform my duties as I should.
I was concerned the young students would be overwhelming, but they are sweet. I just wish I had time to give them the training they need. Agent Zoe seems intent on having me help her train them. I do not have the time for that.
