What do you think of the new look to my blog? I felt it was time for a change, so I looked at the various themes available and found this one. I really like it. I think it looks good and makes the blog easy to read. I have some plans for this year. The first change is already made, namely the theme. You’ve seen the new look to the Feline Freedom League. I wanted to give it a new look. I am going to have the reports look more like memos, this will make them look more as they should. I rather like that idea. I have some stock code that creates a table, and some that create links to the Animal Rescue site. I will be writing some code to link it to other animal related sites as well. I hope that I can bring the spotlight on some worthy animal websites. We need to help those animals who find themselves out of a home, whether because their families got tired of them or just can’t afford to keep them. That last is the saddest. I wish I could help more than just clicking. Remember my novella, FCIS, The Tricolor Killer is available as an ebook. I’ll be sending my royalties to the Michigan Humane Society.
Also in the works for this year, I will profile some of my ancestors. I’ve chosen ancestors who were born on or about the date that their profiles will appear. This will make the blog a bit challenging, as I know more about some of my ancestors than I do about others. I will be telling you upfront how these people are related to me. Rest assured that I will not be blogging about living people. That would just be creepy. I will write each profile after I do a bit of research to see if there is more that I can learn about them. Some of my ancestors are only names to me. I will do some research on each of these ancestors to learn as much about their lives as I can. Sometimes I will be bringing in a lot of history because I seem to come from a long line of people who just lived their lives as best they could in the times and places where they lived. However, I have no guarantee that I will find out more about them. That’s why I chose the ancestors that I chose for this experiment, and it is an experiment to bring together my two loves, writing, and family history. That’s the fun of this project. I’m not sure I can pull it off, but I am going to try. I have done some research, but still need to do more. I won’t be even trying to profile those, so I will have some who are full of information and others who are a little more sparse. Knowing where you came from is almost as important as knowing where you are going. So, this month, I will be profiling Françoise Hébert who lived in Quebec, when it was part of France. I hope you like the profile.
Howdy! I simply wish to offer you a big thumbs up for the excellent information you’ve got right here on this
post. I am returning tto your web site for more soon.
