Feline Freedom League: March 2025 Mission Report

From: Agent Probie

Date: 2 February 2025

Subject: Mission Report

Many of Agent Zoe’s raw recruits have headed to the Academy for official training. We have begun a rotation of them which we hope will allow them to get a taste of the life of an Agent. I hope this works well for them.

I have no doubt that some of them will choose not to attend the Academy. This life is not for everyone. Some may choose to take to the outdoor agent life. All we can hope is that we have prepared them. This pre-training was thrust on us by Agent Zoe’s impetuous decision. Have we made a difference to the turnover at the Academy? Please let us know if we should continue or not.

I acknowledge the receipt of three filing cabinets. I understand that we needed them. I can only assume Agent Winnie will make good use of them.

Our team is working well. We are working together again and that is excellent. We lost one of the canines, the tiny one called Whiskey. His replacement has arrived. It’s another tiny canine, smaller than most of us felines. Her name is Buttercup. She appears to be a young one, a pup, is the term, I’m told. No doubt she will grow.

I have completed the annual reports. You will find them enclosed. I have also completed a request that Agent Cuddles receive his posthumously. His loss was a blow. . I have also completed my agent evaluations. I am submitting recommendations for commendations for agents Winnie and Sadie. I have not yet completed the one for Agent Zoe.

Hers is more difficult to do as I was not consulted when she started her pre-training school. I’m still trying to test the value of that action.

I have determined that I don’t like surprises. Even the arrival of three file cabinets I wasn’t told were coming, threw me. That is a fault in me, I’m aware. Unexpected filing cabinets are not a problem. Unexpected recruits are. Still, they are here and we are coping with them. I can only hope we are doing them some good. Please tell me whether Agent Zoe’s experiment is working or not.

I can see the value of on-the-job-training. It is more that I would have liked to have been consulted before the implementation, or at least warned. Agent Winnie and Office Manager Sadie both apologized for the file cabinets. Their apologies were not necessary. I would hope that I know filing cabinets are an important part of our efforts here. At least all the piles of reports are now filed.

In any case, I will send my recommendation for a commendation for Agent Zoe with my next report. I do not think my evaluation and recommendation will disappoint her. She is not as volatile as she had been in the past. The kittens may have taken it out of her.

Agent Cuddles is doing quite well with the kittens. He is a born teacher. We will be fine. If we should continue recruiting kittens for pre-training, please let me know. Agent Zoe will be hard to live with, but I’ll manage.
