Feline Freedom League January 2025 Mission Report

Subject: Mission Report

The new directive on reporting has arrived and I sent back my acknowledgeable of receipt.  I must admit reporting twice yearly will make things much easier. I can concentrate on lesson plans now. I will post the rule change for my students. I have four now, Panther, Shoe, Dreamy, and Puddles.

Dreamy is my best student, despite her name. Puddles and Shoe are both quite energetic and eager. Panther is more laid back. I think he would do well in an indoor posting, with young humans.

I have alerted them that classes will begin when I return from the conference. I understand it may be a bit longer this year due to the fact that the female doesn’t seem to be doing as much in her sleeping place as she used to. Now she leaves after the male comes back. She returns to sleep in her sleeping next, which is quite comfortable. Humans seem to enjoy comfortable places as much as felines do. One day of the week, she and the male leave early. Then she returns alone, only to leave again later. The male comes back for a time, then he leaves and they both come back. It’s quite confusing.

The female tells people she is ‘retired’ but working part time. I do not know what that means. The male says he is semi-retired and working fewer hours.

The male has been ill. They both leave periodically and return reeking of sharp smells. I don’t know what that means.

Those are the only changes in my situation, although now my food is deposited in my dish on a regular basis. The machine that delivers it is quiet and I only hear the food drop into the dish. They are giving me the very minimum of food. The female says I’m “doing well on my weight loss journey.” Whatever that means. I must admit I feel more energetic than I did.

My four students will be restarting their school work after the conference, as I stated. I would like them to have the most up-to-date Agent manual there is. I want to include a study of it in the curriculum as I believe that will be beneficial when they move on to their permanent postings.

Puddles needs a little extra training in how felines conduct themselves. I believe he lost his mother when he was far too young. He is doing his best to groom himself properly, but he often appears in a messy, bedraggled state. I’m doing my best to instill a sense of pride in him.

Panther has taken him under his wing and is showing him the ropes in maintaining a well-groomed appearance. This is so important for agents. They must appear elegant at all times.

I believe I will need more workbooks, at least four. That way, my students will have an excellent chance of getting into the Academy. We need good agents which come from the Academy. We should ensure the students going in are as well prepared as possible, so we get the best possible agents out.
