I apologize for the lateness of my report. I am quite pleased that the networking issue is now resolved.
I was sorry to hear of the death of Agent Cuddles. I didn’t know him well, but he will be missed. He was taken too soon.

I am relieved to report Soot is fine. He had injured his foot, but it’s not bad enough to make him to seek medical attention. I did scold Butternut for going to him, but I also had to commend her for doing so. She did get him a stockpile of food as he couldn’t hunt for himself. I told Butternut that she exhibited a good sense of team membership and that was good. But she should not have gone alone. She should have waited until either Blackie or Marco could go with her. Both have volunteered to check on Soot every few days. So, although they can’t cover his territory for him, Soot will be able to do so himself soon.

Saucy has reported that human adults gathered the children up and taken to school. Which may be a training facility. She is trying to learn more about that. From what she has overheard and reported, Her theory may be correct. It’s strange that they have a training season. Cats train all the time which is sensible.

Marco and Blackie take turns crossing the big road to make their reports. They, too, have to contend with dogs. They say that the dogs are usually leashed, which is fortunate. They have learned that some more mature humans are also going to school and work. I can’t be certain what work might be. The human male in this location leaves for work daily. But the female who also says she goes to work, is not gone as long as he is. I will investigate this more and report later.

I have had a meeting with all my agents. I explained that I have my schedule. If everyone plays their roles, no one should feel overburdened. I reiterated that our office manager, Agent Sadie’s job is not to work for Agent Zoe as she runs her school. Nor is it solely in the archives as Agent Winnie would like her to do. She is the office manager and thus is to ensure that we have what we need to carry out our duties. I made it clear to her that she is not a failure as she was wont to say to me in private. Once I pointed out her distress, It was clear to the others. Things have been better since I cleared the air.

I am pleased to say that our new agent, Marble, is fitting in well. I must admit I was a tad spooked when he arrived. He is a welcome addition to our clowder, even though his arrival has forced me to redo the schedule yet again. I will submit it with my next report. With any luck, I will not have to redo it again for an entire quarter.
