Butternut is making a little bit of progress. She is so eager to please that I find it difficult to rein her in. she has made mistakes, but that’s to be expected. She is learning from them. It is frustrating when she repeats some of them. I still believe I can make a fine agent out of her.
The humans in my location have introduced a strange creature. It doesn’t smell alive. It had spent quite a lot of time just sitting beside the place where my food and water are found. Then, suddenly, it was moving around the floor, then it would return to its resting place and scream. It almost sounds like a vacuum when it does that. It seems benign and I haven’t been too frightened by it. It does seem to be vacuuming the floor. I just don’t like it when it screams.
Soot has reported a lot of rain lately. He says the rain has kept him in his den for the past few days. He says there isn’t much happening, which he has attributed to the rain. Humans don’t like it either. I find that odd as they often step into a small room with a basin and allow water to run all over them. They seem to like rain when they make it but not the natural rain that falls outside.
Tabitha dropped by this morning to report that there is something happening over by a large field. From her description, I believe she has witnessed what the humans call a sporting event. I have instructed her to continue to monitor the situation and hope to have more for you on that later.

I have my new schedule done. It is included with this report. I confess I’m not certain why Agent Zoe would take on such a responsibility as she has. I am concerned that she will teach them some bad habits. I have included some training for each of us in an effort to mitigate her bad habits. I, myself, have chosen to teach a class in the rules of our League. I have set Agent Winnie to teach a class in report writing. Agents Cuddles and Zoe will both be teaching the kittens to observe and record.
Our new office manager, Sadie, has a serious disability that causes her to walk in a strange, ungraceful, and non feline manner. This frightens the kittens as well as unnerving our agents. She is in charge of our reporting supplies and I have been working with her to ensure that our new recruits will have tolerance in their background when they arrive at the academy to begin their formal training.
I shall be doing my best to ensure that Agent Zoe keeps to her schedule in both her duties to the League as well as her promise to the recruits to train them to succeed. She is a good agent. There is no doubt about that. I will continue to do my best to hold her in and not allow her to recklessly deal with her students. I believe I have set things in place so that they will arrive at the academy well rounded and ready to take up their studies to become full agents of the League.
