Feline Freedom League July 2023 Mission Report

From: Agent Winnie

To: Mr. Whiskers

Date: 2 July 2023

Subject: Mission Report

Things have settled down now. The work stations are set. I don’t entirely agree with their placement, but I can live with it. Agent Zoe is still a thorn in my side. Now, she’s touting therapy.

I’m not saying therapy isn’t useful. I’m just saying that not every cat needs it. I, personally, am fine. I do believe Agent Probie would benefit from some mentoring. He is still relatively inexperienced as a clowder leader and Senior Agent, but that will be rectified with time. We need to be patient with him.

This has been his first move as leader or so I’m told. The loss of an agent is never easy, even if it is only a transfer out. I don’t believe the agent in question meant to imply a lack of confidence in Agent Probie. I’m sure he meant only to find a freer way of working. The life of a field agent isn’t easy. He is handicapped by the loss of his leg, but he will be fine. He seemed competent enough from what I saw of him.

I overheard Agent Zoe complaining that she is doing all the observation work. That’s far from the truth. I do not claim she is lying, merely exaggerating. I do my part. It’s just the schedule is off and I do believe she is doing more than her fair share. I will admit that. Agent Probie is working on the issue. If only he would take suggestions better. He snaps at us when we try. That’s where mentoring would help him. If there is a Senior Agent willing to take the time to contact him to help him, I think it would be beneficial to him.

I’m afraid I haven’t made much progress with the archives. What little I was able to accomplish was undone by the speed and chaos of the move. I must start again and hope we do not have to move again until I have the archives organized. Or at least mostly organized. Proper document storage and organization is very import. I can only hope we haven’t lost any documents.

I’m back to putting everything in piles by date. I have received the database template to create the index, or catalog. I thank you for that. It should make things much easier. I will begin populating it with the information as I do the final organization.

The humans seemed upset by the agent transfer as well. They are settling down now as well. The chaos around here is finally coming to an end. That should help us to settle further as well. The territories, as meted out, are overlapping which can’t be helped in such cramped quarters. Still we will be fine, no matter what Agent Zoe claims.

I will need more folders and possibly a few more cabinets. I will confirm the need for more cabinets and work out how many and report that in my next report. However I am including a requisition for more folders as I desperately need them.
