The humans packed everything into the cardboard toys and moved dens. I’m so glad they brought me with them. Often humans don’t take care of the disabled. I was concerned they wouldn’t take me and I would be abandoned on my own in this place. Fortunately, that didn’t happen.
The new den seems to have a lot of territory. There is even an exercise place with a pond. The pond smells funny. I’m not sure what is in it, but it doesn’t smell like any water I ever smelled. I decided to take the direct route and ask the human male outright. He didn’t understand. Humans are dense that way.
The clowder is not doing as well it could. Perhaps if we hadn’t just lost two agents. I was glad to hear Agent Melody resigned and escaped human custody. I was concerned that they had abandoned her in the old den. I had heard some humans would do that. Just move dens and leave the feline agents behind to starve. That would not be a good fate.
There’s a lot of jockeying for territory going on right now. I’m sure that when the dust settles we will, once again, pull together. Agent Mulder has assumed Senior Agent status with the accompanying duties. I’m not sure he’s the best cat for the job, but I will not challenge him. He is the cat with the most seniority.
I will do my best to find out what is in the pond. I do not think it safe to drink though. For one thing, it smells funny and for another, one runs the risk of falling in and getting completely wet. Not something I want to experience.
I liked Agent Molly. She has nice manners. Of course, she might assume I am completely able bodied, but I was up front about my disability. She said it didn’t matter to her. She provided us with a number of techniques for surveillance. I have been trying them out on the humans in this place. Her favorite, she says is to pretend to sleep on the arm of their chairs. She adds that the female stays up all night four nights in a row and acts very tired on the day following the fourth night. She sleeps the other days.
This interests me as the young female spends many nights up. She doesn’t seem to do anything as the female human at Agent Molly’s location. Our younger female spends a lot of time sleeping, even during the day. We compared the activities of our humans and found they are quite similar, although Molly’s humans seem to leave the place from time to time. They talk about work and shopping and something called yoga. Molly states she will send a full report on that as soon as she can.
