Subject: The New Arrival

There’s another canine in this place. He’s a small thing, doesn’t look like the other one. I think he’s a puppy. I don’t understand why they brought the thing here. The other one cavorts around and drives us all insane. I must admit, however, that the older one seems to focus on the new one. That may take some of the pressure off us felines so that we can get our work done in peace. I hope that trend continues. They may do a better of training him than they did with the older one.

Perhaps that’s the human’s hope that the younger one will somehow encourage the older one to use the pads they have for him – so unsanitary. I have never had much respect for the human sense of smell, but this canine takes the fish treat. The younger one makes his messes and the older female immediately corrects him, but they did not train the older one that way. I have no idea why they make that distinction between the two canines.

For the first few days, the new one slept a lot and spent time snuggled with the humans. As he grows older, I suspect he will begin to assist the older canine, or Little Bit, as the humans call him, to annoy us. The younger one now has the name of Cooper. I find myself wondering how humans choose their names. I do not see the relevance of the names.

I could not believe it when they brought that thing in the house. It is long and brown, somewhat red. I have no idea what possessed them to do that. Like Agent Storm, I suspect that they chose it to keep the older canine, which I will designate as canine one, the younger as canine two, from bothering us. I applaud that idea, but I suspect that the result will end up with both canines pestering us in concert. I would put in for a transfer if I were not certain that I would end up somewhere much worse.

They make such a disgusting display over canine two. I wonder that none of us pukes at the sight. I have been maintaining my surveillance of the goings on here from an unseen position. I only show myself on occasion to prevent the humans from looking for me. I do not want them to find all of my surveillance positions. They act more naturally, if they do not know that we are observing them. I can only hope that the canines will do more interaction with each other and leave us felines alone. They could hamper our work here.

Do other feline agents report such issues with interfering canines? Are the canines in league with the humans to keep us subservient to their wishes? I would volunteer to fight such if you give me the proper training to do so. Please advise whether we are forming combat groups to take on the canines. I wish to know what I need to do to prepare for the war I feel is coming to this place.
